About Us

Ok so firstly, we aren’t huge fans of bios at Gravity Works, and it’s not just because we suck at writing them…As of now, our little ‘Movement' stands at 3 inter-disciplinary practitioners.

Our business Strategist has owned a successful movement studio, is quite the movement teacher in her own right, and is one tiger-mom to be reckoned with. Movement has always been the realm to experience, measure, and strive for change for her. She is an optimizer. Not to mention that she is re-hashing her own Anatomy and Physiology education for sheer personal and professional growth - Go ahead, take a conditioning class from her! She is also stoked to integrate her Masters in Psychology and Masters in Business to give some structure to our projects…and yours.

Our Engineer/ Maker has deep experience with robotics, is an electrical engineer, and is currently studying Human Anatomy and Physiology. He intends to become a bodyworker and, we hope, a long-term training specialist. He is an Alpinist and gravity athlete who wants to see how we may integrate artificial intelligence into the movement sciences…and that’s just what he’s let us in on!

And then there is our movement specialist and pedagogue, who perhaps has the least range of the group, but makes up for it by holding himself to a constantly rising standard of embodiment and studentship…and he inexorably gets away with holding others to those same standards. Out of both necessity and pure love, he lives a life pleasantly stuck in a deep-dive into the human body’s structure and health. This movement think-tank being his brain child, we can thank him for ideas bigger than the vertical world from which it’s nearly impossible to pull him, or his alpine obsessions, away.

Structural Integration

There is a line that runs plumb through the body. Structural Integration is the practice that manipulates the connective tissue called fascia to better organize the body around that vertical line. Max is classically trained in Ida P. Rolf’s method of Structural Integration. During session, he will pair this with rigorous movement education so that you become proficient in your own process. He is currently taking students for Structural Integration work, and practitioner education in Jackson Wyoming. Contact us at gravityworksjh@gmail.com to schedule a consult!

Movement Seminars

In seminar, we aim to rattle our foundations, don’t worry, we also aim to support all movement practitioners, teachers, instructors and coaches by way of raising the tiers of understanding and abilities, to see what a body needs. We then work to build the skills to effectively and efficiently meet the physiological needs of a moving body as they are encountered. We will explore the foundational layers of movement that are below the surface of conventional experience, using collaborative seminar settings to meet all learning types and needs of our students.
