Forgive us, there’s a lot of terrain to cover without boring you…

Ever notice that the most amazing movement sessions of your life, the best yoga class ever, the best personal training sesh that makes you feel capable of anything and not just sore, are almost impossible to harness?

Ever notice that discipline is really hard to sustain? or that you can be really ready for change and healing and it doesn’t seem to come?

We posit no universal answer to these few (and all the ones left unmentioned) tropes at the limits of our moved experience. What, how and why we practice a proposed habit, as it attempts to take hold in a tussle with an existing habit that creates limitation in our lives, seems to be a crux of devotion. A few hours of movement classes a week, meditation, or a few healthy meals (what are those anyway?) is no match for 9-5 execution of destructive patterns.  It takes a course of education, a semester, a curriculum to constantly wrangle the various and divergent ways that a habit can assert itself over time and attempted work.

Oh and here’s a hint on the discipline kerfuffle: it’s not that you lack it, it’s that you actually know there’s little point in the effort, youuuu buddhist.

So we won’t teach you a method. We can’t do that in good conscience, we must teach you a curriculum designed around self-proficiency as the end goal.

Make no mistake we want to become obsolete for you and the project with which you approach us. We will teach you to use the various practices in the movement industry as part of a meta-understanding of your specific process, how you got to where you are, where you’re at and what your needs are day to day and how to monitor for that, and ultimately, to know that you’re setting yourself on the right trajectories. Healing itself, and moving with un-injurious habits is in fact an enormous human achievement. And it is hard. To stay devoted, to give yourself the time you need, not just the time you want to give is where we begin to see the venning of radical human health and radical human performance.
